Chattanooga has many wonderful things to offer so don’t miss this opportunity to include your spouse and other family member so they can take full advantage of the city during the 2012 TMEA In-service Conference. The fantastic Tennessee Aquarium is a “must” for visitors that includes extensive exhibits of both fresh water and salt water fish as well as an IMAX 3-D theatre. Other exciting things to see include the Tennessee Valley Railway Museum, the Hunter Museum of American Art, the Creative Discovery Museum, and a great selection of excellent restaurants nearby. The free downtown electric trolley makes getting around safe and easy.

For the more active guest, try a hike along the Chattanooga Riverwalk. 9 miles of paved walkway follow the Tennessee River from the downtown waterfront to the Chickamauga dam. Your path takes you through protected marshes where many types of birds stop on their yearly migrations. Popular with hikers, bikers, skaters, and skateboarders it will give you a chance to stretch your legs and get some exercise.
